…but no one really cares. Not even the police.
Anna managed to cause a car accident today. She was taking the bus over to the theatre where she was to meet Wright’s daughter. When she was crossing the street, a right turning car stopped for her and the car behind that one crashed into the turning car. The first car blames it on Anna for jaywalking.
Okay, so let me say this: yes, it is true that Anna probably should have waited for a better moment to cross, but one cannot loose it and pass blame around. The fault is entirely that of the second car who did not see what was going on. Keep a further distance away please.
The police who showed up was Gumshoe, and when asked by the first car about the jaywalking, Gumshoe waved it off and said bluntly that he didn’t really care. The first car threatened to sue, but I don’t think he will.
Anyway, it was about $5, 000 of damage taken care of by the second car’s insurance company. No big deal, I figure that if he really did sue, he would loose more money than he would gain. There’s no point.
Anna is alright, but a little shaken. She didn’t understand anything that was said, which was good; there are certain things which Gumshoe told Miles about that I will not repeat.
The Gavin manor is very spacious. Most times, I have no trouble finding an empty room to type away at.
Excited for Parin Sound!

Jaywalking? That's not very good. Luckily Anna is not hurt.
ReplyDeleteYes, she is fine. Gumshoe took care of everything.
