Sometimes, waking early is easy due to jetlag. Sometimes it isn’t. But it is a habit for us to rise with the sun; we’ve done so so many times, it’s just normal to.
Anyway, I heard Serai got a nice surprise with most of us up so early, even with jetlag. Miles gets up early so that he can start his work early. I wake early only because I’m a morning person. And Klavier Gavin? I don’t know. Maybe Justice snores?
Yesterday night was a lot different than I had expected. The Creases is a nice place, good food, nice atmosphere. We didn’t stay for the bar to open though. Kirth and Justice apparently don’t like alcohol too much and Anna isn’t allowed any.
Costume shopping was… an unusual experience. Justice was forced into purchasing a detective garb. Anna somehow convinced Miles to try a clown costume (And I still shudder to think of it…). Miles did end up buying some pumpkin carving equipment that he wasn’t allowed to bring along with us on the plane ride to America. Those came in handy for his all-day-long pumpkin carving marathon.
Miles left in the morning to go shopping in solitary. He brought back some more pumpkins and spent the entire afternoon in the kitchen scooping out the pumpkin goop (what exactly is that gloopy stuff inside a pumpkin called?) and carving out designs. If he hadn’t been a lawyer, Miles should have gone to art school.
Eventually Serai and I forced Miles out by insisting we take out the mah-jong set. Miles was actually patient enough to teach me this time. After learning (yes, I learn fast, don’t I?) Serai pointed out we needed one more player for an official game and so we left the kitchen to search for Justice.
We found him in his usual spot, in the room he shared with Klavier. As always, he was writing in his notebook. Justice was hard to persuade, but in the end he dropped his journal to play a few games with us. “A few games” turned into many more when Klavier, Kirth and Anna came back from their CD and music record shopping. They joined us, taking turns to play.
Miles finished carving in between games when he wasn’t playing and found some of Alyiene’s pumpkin goodies. We gambled them away and surprisingly Kirth won the most. Next was Justice not far behind him. Anna doesn’t like to take risks so she held on to all of hers, not gaining or losing.
An eventful afternoon. Alyiene returned from her classes and brought out a deck of cards so that we could play poker. Miles backed out right away; he still hasn’t gotten over his ten game loosing streak to Wright when we were still in LA.
We had a nice dinner at home. Alyiene made curry in the kitchen while the rest of us sat around the living room talking. We played those party games that are never any fun… except this time it was.
Hoping for more fun times!

Miles Edgeworth looked like an excited little kid with those pumpkins...never seen anything like it...
ReplyDeleteHaha, Miles loves carving pumpkins... don't tell anyone, or you'll probably get rid of all the self dignity he has.
